Magnuson Park used to be a naval base in North Seattle, but was turned into a park when the base was decommissioned. It’s a huuuuge park with lots of old hangars and navy-ish things still scattered about. The city has been slowly demolishing and renovating the park over the years, and I think all of the subjects in these pictures are no longer around.
I couldn’t resist taking a ton of detail shots of the gum wall under Pike Place Market. The longer you stare, the more you’ll find patterns and initials that people have taken the time to painstakingly create.
